This has been one of our busiest weeks yet, with sixteen new additions around Country Campfire.
Five new poems joined Keeping The Verse Alive, alongside two Bush Poetry Podcast episodes, two YouTube recitals and three new Country Campfire Legends. We also followed a possible real-life inspiration for Waltzing Matilda, crossed into the Northern Territory, caught up with new country music and watched Ranger Nick prepare to cook an enormous Australia-shaped meatloaf.

Remembering Dolly Parton
Country music lost one of its greatest voices this week with the death of Dolly Parton on August 25, aged 80.
Across more than six decades, Dolly became far more than a country music star. She was a remarkable songwriter, storyteller and philanthropist whose warmth, humour and unmistakable voice reached generations around the world.
Her songs—and the joy she brought through them—will remain part of country music forever.
