Australian History & Heritage
Tony Hammill took us back to the great flood of 1893 and the story of Billy Mateer—a man remembered for a desperate ride against rising water. It is exactly the kind of Australian story worth preserving and passing on.
Campfire Muster
The September Muster ranged from the thylacine and giant ugg boots to swimming emus, rural photography, remarkable people and the stories worth talking about this month.
New Country Campfire Legend
Jai Thoolen became Country Campfire Legend No. 21, giving his story, written work and podcast appearances a permanent home around the campfire.
Keeping The Verse Alive
Ten poems joined the collection across the fortnight, with work from Peter Pentland, Geoff Bagman, Jai Thoolen, Ron Boughton, David J Delaney and Narelle Stoll.
Latest from the Bush Poetry Podcast
Three new voices and stories arrived on the podcast: Geoff Bagman with Old Scar, Helen Dunn with White Girl Wasted and Bob Pacey with his tribute to Steve Irwin.
