Campfire Roundup — October 4: Fresh Verse, Music & Old Stories

by Alex Bender
October 4 Campfire Roundup cover with a glowing Australian bush campfire, guitar and notebook beneath gum trees at sunset.

Campfire Roundup is our weekly look at everything new around Country Campfire — Australian stories, bush poetry, country music, campground yarns and the voices keeping it all alive.

G’day Campfire Nation,

It’s been a quieter week around Country Campfire after a couple of busy editions, but there’s still plenty worth settling in for — fresh poetry, new music, a short story and a little Australian history.

This week brought four written poems, two music features, a short story, a history article and a new Legend page, plus Geoff Bagman’s latest podcast recital and its YouTube video.

Did You Know?

The Bush Poetry Podcast now has over 150 episodes. That’s a growing collection of voices, laughs and Australian bush verse to keep you company on the road, in the shed or whenever you’ve got a few minutes to listen.
