Through our Keeping The Verse Alive project, we’re building a permanent online collection of Australian bush poetry.
Whether you’ve been writing for forty years or you’ve just written your first poem, we’d love to help preserve it and introduce your work to more people.

Campground Reviews
The Campground Project is building a collection of real campground experiences from travellers around Australia.
If you’ve stayed somewhere worth sharing, tell us about it. We’re interested in the places people actually camp — from free camps and bush camps to stations, national parks and campgrounds around the country. Photos are always welcome too.

Country Stories
Stories from the bush, the road, the farm, the mountains or anywhere else around country Australia.
They might be funny, historical, personal or simply something you reckon deserves to be remembered. Not every good story needs to be a grand one.
Country Music
Musicians, songwriters, broadcasters and the people behind Australian country music all have stories worth telling.
If you’re involved in Australian country music and have a story, release, memory or piece of history you’d like to share, get in touch.
Photos, History & Local Knowledge
Old photographs, huts, local history, family stories, forgotten places and pieces of Australian country history are exactly the sort of things we’d love to help preserve.
Sometimes the knowledge sitting in someone’s head, photo album or shed is the stuff most worth keeping.

Anything you contribute remains yours.
Country Campfire does not take ownership of your poems, photographs, stories or other original work. We’re simply giving it another place to live and helping more people discover it.
You’ll always be properly credited, and where appropriate we can include links to your website, social media, books, music or anywhere else you’d like people to find you.

People who become regular contributors may also receive their own Country Campfire Legend page.
These are permanent contributor pages bringing together their stories, poems, photographs, interviews, podcast appearances and other contributions in one place.
It’s our way of recognising the people helping build and preserve this collection.

What Does It Cost?
Nothing.
Country Campfire doesn’t charge contributors to have their work published.
We also don’t currently pay for contributions. The aim is to create a permanent platform where country Australians can share their work, preserve their stories and reach people who genuinely care about them.
There are no paywalls around contributed work and no cost to be part of the projects.
A Few Simple Rules
Country Campfire isn’t interested in political fights, hate or turning everything into an argument.
We’re here for country people, country stories and Australian culture.
Keep it genuine, respectful and something you’d be happy to share around the campfire.
