Country Campfire was created with a simple idea: every story starts around a campfire.
For generations, campfires have brought people together. Friends, families, travellers, musicians, farmers, truck drivers, tradies, campers, caravaners, bush poets and storytellers have gathered around a fire to share experiences, pass on knowledge, have a laugh, and build community.
In many ways, that’s what Country Campfire is all about.
Our mission is to celebrate, preserve and promote Australian country life.
We want to shine a light on the people, places, events, traditions and communities that make regional Australia such a special place to live, work and visit.
You’ll find stories about camping, caravanning, four-wheel driving, campfire cooking, country music, bush poetry, rodeos, campdrafts, local sports, country pubs, festivals, rural events, regional tourism and everything in between.
But more importantly, you’ll find stories about people.

Country Campfire is proudly independent, community-driven and non-political. We’re not here to divide people. We’re here to bring people together through shared interests, shared experiences and a shared appreciation for country Australia.
We believe the stories, traditions, humour, resilience and community spirit found throughout regional Australia deserve to be celebrated and preserved for future generations.
