Some love songs arrive with roses and candlelight. The Silverline’s latest comes roaring in with overdriven guitars, V8 Holdens, karaoke and a bloke who knows exactly who he wants beside him.
“I’m Gonna Marry That Girl” is the new single from Sydney-based husband-and-wife duo Michael and Catherine Lehnen. The upbeat country-rock track lands on 29 September 2026 through RTC Records, bringing plenty of energy and a distinctly Australian sense of fun.
A love song with the windows down
At the centre of the song is that rare moment when uncertainty disappears. She loves her V8 Holdens, grabs the microphone at karaoke and lives life loud—and he has no intention of letting her get away.

Michael and Catherine Lehnen
The Silverline bring American and Australian influences together in a polished country sound built around songwriting, harmony and lived experience.
Michael originally hails from Seattle and spent years performing across the US West Coast before securing a development deal with Mercury Polygram Records. He also brings more than 25 years of country radio experience to the partnership.
Catherine has toured with the Australian Army Band and The Tommy Dorsey Revival Band, performed at the Melbourne Concert Hall and appeared on Australian television, including Season 7 of The Voice.
Together, they have collected six number-one singles on the Australian National Country Charts, won Best Duo at the 2025 Tamworth Independent Country Music Awards and were named Best Group at the 2022 Tamworth Country Music Festival People’s Choice Awards.

“I’m Gonna Marry That Girl” was written, composed and performed by Michael and Catherine Lehnen. It was recorded at Hillbilly Hut Studio, with Simon Johnson handling the production and mix.
